Great Outdoors: Garden Furniture by Richard Schultz-
Designed in 1966, the Schultz outdoor collection was designed as a weather resistant furniture collection, that could be used indoors or out. Florence Knoll had just moved to florida and realised the need for furniture that could withstand the corrosive air. Knoll who had previously produced Schultz’s petal tables, produced the furniture collection at a time when there wasn’t a lot of modern garden furniture on the market and it was very successful. The furniture stayed in production until 1991, after a break of 20 years Knoll began producing the collection again last year.
