These images of Skovshoved petrol station are by Keld Helmer Petersen, a Danish photographer who achieved success with his 1948 book- 122 colour photographs, that these images featured in. The modernist photographs were groundbreaking at the time in their use of colour as subject and their abstract qualities. The Petrol Station designed by Jacobsen, was opened in 1936 and is situated just North of Copenhagen in Denmark. The petrol station originally commissioned by Texaco, still runs today and underwent renovation in 2002.
