Playing Haus: Vitra Haus by Herzog and De Meuron-

Herzog and De Meuron, famous for their bird’s nest stadium at the Beijing olympics and the Tate Modern in London, designed Vitra’s flagship showroom the ‘Vitra Haus’ in 2010. The structure is a play on a typical house shape and stacks long house shaped volumes on top of each other. The interior of the large dark black structure couldn’t be more different, the ends of the house sections are fully glazed framing the picturesque scenery and allowing the light to flood in.
